My  favorite thing about the Apologia science texts  is the conversational style in which they are written.  The books reads more like a conversation or a discussion than like a lecture or dry text article.  This one on astronomy offers  in-depth information with words and expressions to which a child can relate. In doing so, it is not dumbed down, for the course itself has enough information to qualify for a high school astronomy course. What a great way to learn about Astronomy!
