One important task to accomplish over my home school summer break is to find and purchase homeschool curricula for our next school year. Summer is the time I preview curriculum online and search for reviews to read.

Since we are renting a house while trying to sell our house in Florida, we are having to budget carefully to make ends meet.  As far as homeschooling goes, the single most helpful saving money tip that I incorporate by habit is buying used homeschool curricula whenever possible. Not only does it save me money, but it usually helps another family get money they need to buy their curricula for the coming school year.  So I feel good about buying “used” for more than one reason.

This web site, Best Homeschool Buys, is available to help you quickly find what is available on eBay at bargain prices.

If you use the A Beka curriculum, you’ll find a very good selection of Used Abeka that is divided by grade level for your convenience.

We have always used Saxon math for homeschool from grades three and up. I have always been able to find good buys on Used Saxon Math.

We use Apologia Science for high school science.

So many families use Sonlight curriculum. Though it is harder to find used entire curriculum packages, sometimes they are available if you keep checking over a few days and weeks.  Check our listings of Used Sonlight Curriculum by grade level to see what is available.  You might find exactly what you need at a much reduced price.

Used Bob Jones Curriculum like Abeka is widely available on Best Homeschool Buys divided by grade level for your convenience.
