Vintage Doll FamilyMy daughter loved to play with dolls. With this precious wooden doll set, children who love to play “house” can create scenarios to act out their imagination with this lovable family of wooden dolls.

A set of dolls like this one can be used to act out stories of history that are being learned in homeschool. Adapt the dolls to the Laura Ingalls Wilder stories and let the children act out the chapters you are reading aloud to them.  (You would need to let the little boy become a girl for the purpose of the Little House stories, but that shouldn’t be too hard to manage). You could have Ma and Pa Ingalls, Laura and Mary and baby Carrie,…even the grandparents. If you have Lincoln Logs or something similar, the kids can build a log house for the Little House on the Prairie.

The set not only includes Mom, Dad and their three children, but also Grandpa and Grandma. One of the children is a baby, which is so much fun for little girls. All the dolls have flexible arms and legs so they can be positioned. These toys are meant for children of ages 3 and older.

Some of my favorite toys are the toys that used to be available from Vision Forum, but now that company has closed.
