The company describes them as high-quality, hand-crafted wooden puzzles with a selection that includes classic jigsaw puzzles, peg puzzles, and knob puzzles, as well as puzzles with special features like those that have built in sounds and lights, and even puzzles with textured fabrics!

I don’t remember having Melissa and Doug puzzles available when my children were little, so I haven’t tried them out yet to give my own opinion (still waiting for grandchildren).  However, they get mostly positive reviews on Amazon. There are some parents who don’t like that the solid wood is pressed wood.

This particular wire puzzle rack  will actually hold puzzles a little bigger than what it says, as long as the length of the puzzle fits within their parameters. The wire openings allow you to put puzzles in the rack that have a bigger width than they state. The sound puzzles by Melissa and Doug  are too thick and do not fit on this storage rack. The nice thing about a rack like this one is that it is fairly easy for your toddlers and preschoolers to take the puzzles out of the rack on their own.
